A. the Mid-Atlantic Colonies
The Mid-Atlantic Colonies were the most culturally diverse during the colonial period. This region included colonies such as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, which attracted a wide range of settlers from various ethnic and religious backgrounds, including the Dutch, Germans, Swedes, Quakers, and others. This diversity contributed to a more pluralistic society compared to the more homogenous populations in the New England and Southern Colonies.
