I don't know if you've seen this or not but a way to remember and/or identify a carbohydrate is that they are just that; i.e., a CARBO (meaning C) and HYDRATE (meaning water or H2O)
glucose and fructose are C6H12O6. That's 6C and 6H2O
sucrose is C12H22O11
12C and 11H2O
Which atoms are in all carbohydrates?
A- carbon, phosphorus, oxygen
B- carbon, nitrogen, oxygen
C- carbon, hydrogen, oxygen
D- carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen
