Most deposits of natural resources are typically found at present and past plate boundaries. This is due to geological processes such as volcanic activity, tectonic movements, and sedimentation that occur in these areas, leading to significant mineral deposits, fossil fuels, and other resources.
While resources can also be found near rivers and streams (such as alluvial deposits) and in oceanic areas (like offshore oil and gas), and some minerals can be found in mountainous regions, the richest and most diverse deposits are generally associated with the tectonic activities along plate boundaries.
