When two atoms approach each other and react with each other, it is their outer shells that come into contact first, and it is therefore the electrons in their outer shells that are normally involved in any chemical reaction.electrons are known as

Orbiting electrons
Valence electrons
Shell electrons
Bonding electrons
Valence electrons?

1 answer

Electrons orbit so that must be true
Electrons are not stationary so that is true. Valence electrons (you listed this twice) lumped together is true. Many profs refer to these as bonding electrons so that is true. My opinion is that this is not a very good question/answer.
