check for a response from the victim by tapping or shaking them and calling their name. If there is no response, open the airway by tilting their head back and lifting their chin. Pinch their nose closed and give two full breaths into their mouth, watching for chest rise. If chest does not rise, reposition the head and try again. Check for circulation and begin CPR if necessary. Always call for emergency medical services as soon as possible.
