In Adobe Photoshop, to modify a selection and reduce its size by a specific pixel amount, you can use the "Modify" options available in the selection menu. Here's how to do it:

Select your area: First, make a selection using any of the selection tools (Rectangular Marquee Tool, Lasso Tool, etc.).

Modify Selection:
- Go to the menu and choose

- A dialog box will pop up, prompting you to specify how many pixels you want to contract the selection by. Enter the desired pixel amount and click

This action will reduce the size of your selection by the specified pixel amount all around the selection boundary.
