When do I capatilize the word aunt?

I think it's:
This is my Aunt Marrianne.
Is that right or is the a lowercase?
Please explain.

Yes, that's correct, because Aunt is part of Aunt Marianne's title.

However, aunt would not be capitalized if you said: That's my aunt sitting on the dock.
