When dividing two numbers written in exponential notation, what do you do with the exponents of 10?

that is
(2/1) (10^5/10^3)
= 2 * 10^(5-3) <<<---important
= 2 * 10^2

2* 100000 /1000 = 2 * 100 :)
that is
