whats the cause of someone bleeding from their face without a cut, bruise, pimple, nothing, the person is just bleeding constantly, why?

I have a little spot on my nose that occasionally bleeds profusely. The dermatologist told me that a blood vessel is close to the surface of the skin. I can scratch the top off by just washing my face.
