What would cause rain water puddle to turn black in color

Hmmmm. Nightfall?

I suspect fine black sand, held in suspension.
Hey did you ever figure out the answer? I have this going on right now after a rain.
I wish I could tell you, I only found this site because I live right near a old spring, high alkaline soil. ( Russian olive trees like the dirt )
I'm trying to find out why the water turns copper. Just very curious. And the water came from rain water. The soil is holding it in puddles, I water ten feet away and it is normal muddy water. Still alkaline soil. Just harder. I'm curious to know about the black water.
Thank you.

It's caused by weak ozone layers
