What will be the amount of para-nitrophenol (PNP) in solution if 454.9 mL of 2.15 *10-2 M PNP solution is mixed with 92.7 mL of water? Report the amount in millimoles.

Hint: do not confuse amount and concentration.

I have not had chemistry in a long time and i am not sure how to start this problem. do i start by adding the two volumes. then divide the given concentration by the new volume of solution?

observe the hint ...

mixing will change the concentration , but the amount of PNP in solution is the same ... (original concentration) * (original volume)
thank you
