what should i do if i can't come up with a title for an essay? is it alright for it to be untitled?

2 answers

No, you need to have a title.

Think of the main idea of the paper, the thesis, or even the attention-grabber you put in your intro. (You did put an attention-grabber in the intro, right?)

You should get some ideas from these thoughts.
Read through the essay again and look for anything that jumps out at you. Concentrate on making the title reflect your main topic. For a researched paper, the title is often a little more dry and formal. For an informal essay, however, you can jazz it up a little. Try to make the title sound like something that would inspire you to read the paper.
