Right now, I am using electricity, which is generated from natural resources such as coal, natural gas, hydroelectric power, or renewable sources like solar and wind. The objects around me, such as my computer, phone, and desk, were made using a variety of natural resources including metals, plastics, and wood.

The economic benefits of using natural resources include the creation of jobs in industries such as mining, manufacturing, and energy production. Additionally, the use of natural resources can drive economic growth and development.

However, there are also economic and environmental costs associated with the use of natural resources. For example, the extraction and burning of fossil fuels contribute to air and water pollution, as well as greenhouse gas emissions that are driving climate change. This can lead to significant economic costs in terms of health care expenses, property damage from extreme weather events, and loss of biodiversity.
