What maszid hydrochloric acid is needed to decompose 50g of limestone?

4 answers

assuming this particular limestone is purely CaCO3

CaCO3 + HCl
see

CaCO3 mol mass = 40 + 12 + 3(16)
mols reacted = 50/(40+12+3*16)

calculate mols of HCl needed from balanced reaction (twice as many)
mol of HCl has mass 1+35.5
mass needed = mols of HCl needed *(36.5 grams/mol)
Answer is truly correct but more explaination I want. But thanku a lot
