In MLA format, the Works Cited page has specific guidelines for indentation and organization:
-
Indentation: The first line of each entry in the Works Cited page is flush left, while all subsequent lines of that entry should be indented by half an inch. This is known as a hanging indent.
-
Organization: The entries on the Works Cited page are organized alphabetically by the last name of the first author listed for each source. If no author is available, the entry is organized by the title of the work.
Make sure to also double-space the entire Works Cited page, with no extra spaces between entries, and use a standard font like Times New Roman, 12-point size.
