I stand before the mountain tall and grand,
Alone, with courage in my trembling hand.
My heart beats fast, my breath it tries to flee,
But I am filled with awe and ecstasy.

I start my climb, each step a test of will,
The air grows thin, the summit looming still.
My fear subsides as I embrace the height,
My spirit soars, I conquer all in sight.

Oh mountain, you have shown me strength untold,
As I stand victorious, brave and bold.
Alone I climbed, but now I stand with glee,
Forever changed by this epic journey.
