What kind of learning gets you excited?

If this is a personal question, I would say hands-on learning is more exciting to me. I get more out of it if it is hands-on.
Yes, this is a personal question since it asks what kind of learning gets YOU excited. Your answer is good and shared by many students. Hands-on learning is very effective.
Here are some links to articles about learning styles, specifically kinesthetic (hands-on):

The whole issue of learning styles is fascinating. If you understand yourself, you will be able to work WITH your learning style instead of against it. My daughter, son, and I are predominantly visual learners, as are three of my grandchildren. But the fourth grandchild is clearly a kinesthetic learner, although we're noticing that he is becoming better at learning in visual and auditory ways. It's amazing to watch young people grow and change as they go further into their education years!

Have fun exploring!

Thanks, Writeacher, for that insight. It reminds me of an 8th-grade student I had who was barely passing her classes. For a hands-on project, I showed her how to make stained-glass windows by cutting and folding tissue paper. I laboriously read the instructions, and step-by-step showed her while she imitated my movements. After she completed the project, she turned to some of her friends and showed them how to make these tissue-paper windows. Where I had to depend on the written instructions, even though I had made several myself, this girl remembered it well enough to teach others. She's obviously a hands-on learner!
**Obviously these were models of stained-glass windows.
Yes, that's how kinesthetic learners operate: by doing and by having a good memory!!

My daughter even bought a book called How to Get Your Child off the Refrigerator and on to Learning: http://www.amazon.com/How-Your-Child-Refrigerator-Learning/dp/1883002702/ref=sr_1_9/103-6390571-6091853?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1188780154&sr=1-9

It's an amazing book and was very helpful through my grandson's years in primary grades.
