what is the perimeter of a right triangle with legs 6 cm and 3cm , leave the answer in simplest radical form

first we solve for hypotenuse:
to get the hypotenuse we use pythagorean theorem:
c^2 = a^2 + b^2
where
c = hypotenuse of the right triangle
a and b = legs of right triangle
substituting,
c^2 = 6^2 + 3^2
c^2 = 36 + 9
c^2 = 45
c = 3*sqrt(5)
therefore the perimieter is:
P = a + b + c
P = 6 + 3 + 3*sqrt(5)
P = 9 + 3*sqrt(5) cm

hope this helps~ :)
