If you want to know the absolute maximum winnable we must first make the assumptions that 1) you answer every question correctly, 2) the Jeopardy question shows up on the last question of the first round, and that it is a $100 question, 3) the double Jeopardy questions show up as the last two questions and that they are both $200 questions, and you bet the store on each Jeopardy, Double Jeopardy, and Final Jeopardy questions. In Jeopardy, there are 6 columns of 5 questions each with $1500 winnable in each column. Up to the point where the Jeopardy question shows up, the total won up to that point is $8900 and betting it all would produce a total of
$17,800 at the end of round one. Double Jeopardy allows one to win $3000 in each column. Again, assuming that the 2 Double Jeopardy questions show up on the last two questions of the second round, and they are both $200 questions, then the total won up through the 28th question is $17,600 + $17,800 from the first round for a total of $35,400 and betting it all would result in a total of $70,800 prior to the last $200 Double Jeopardy question. Having $70,800 to bet on the last DJ question, the total won at the end of the game would be $141,600. Then betting it all in Final Jeopardy would result in the grand total of $283,200.
what is the maximum amount of money you can win on the game show jeopardy in any one night? Note that the dollar amounts in each category are bigger than they used to be and don't forget the daily double and the bonus round.
