As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, the largest human-made structure in space is the International Space Station (ISS). The ISS is a modular space station that serves as a microgravity and space environment research laboratory. It is approximately the size of a football field, measuring about 109 meters (358 feet) end-to-end, and it orbits Earth at an altitude of approximately 400 kilometers (about 248 miles).
The ISS consists of multiple interconnected modules and components, including laboratories, living quarters, and solar panels. It has been continuously inhabited since November 2000 and is a collaborative project involving space agencies from the United States (NASA), Russia (Roscosmos), Europe (ESA), Japan (JAXA), and Canada (CSA).
