What is the graph of the function y =1/2 x + 2

1 answer

I looks like y = mx + b
You MUST know the signifcance of m and b in that equation.

You can use those properties to sketch the line
the y-intercept is 2, so plot the point (0,2)
the slope = (change in y)/(change in x) = 1/2

so from the point (0,2) move 2 units to the right, then 1 unit up, this gives you the point (2,3)
You got 2 points, draw the line
