What is the equation that gives you the answer: SS={x|(x≤4)V(x>6)}?

I'm not sure...should it be:
|x-1|≥5
or |x-1|>5
or something else?

1 answer

The ranges shown both start 1 unit away from x=5

I'd choose |x-5| >= 1 except that one range includes the endpoint and the other does not. If that's a typo, fix it and use > or >=.
