What is the difference between codominance and incomplete dominance?
1 answer
Codominance is a genetic concept where both alleles for a trait are fully expressed in the phenotype, resulting in a phenotype that shows a mixture of the traits from both alleles. In incomplete dominance, the phenotype of the heterozygous individual is an intermediate blend of the two homozygous phenotypes. In other words, neither allele is dominant and the phenotype is a combination or blending of the two alleles.
