what is the derivatice of 3x-4/4x+2

1 answer

I will assume you mean
(3x-4)/(4x+2)

use the quotient rule ...

y = (3x-4)/(4x+2)
dy/dx = ( (4x+2)(3) - (3x-4)(4) )/(4x+2)^2
= (12x + 6 - 12x + 16)/(4x+2)^2
= 22/(4x+2)^2
or
= 11/(2(2x+1)^2)
