What is the American political system's greatest strengths and weaknesses?
Here is what I have so far: One of the strengths is the federal government shares soveteignty with the states as well as the Supreme Court balancing the rights of each state. Earlier in history this soverignty was not always the case.
One of the weaknesses would be the sway of political leaders by major corporations of the U.S. and around.
Can someone please help me find other strengths and weaknesses?
Thanks.

The Supreme Court only determines the Constitutionality of laws; it doesn't necessarily balance the rights of states.
The strengths of our political system include the balance of powers, the election of our leaders, our Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Extreme partisanship, and the belief that the U.S. can "fix" the world are among our weaknesses.
