What is a hero to you?

Joseph Campbell's definitions of heros are my favorites.

Someone you look up to. has a great personality and good characteristics. a person you admire and want to be like. Someone who sets a good example for others to follow.

Abbey's definition fits too large a group of people -- more like excellent role models. Heroes are usually seen as those who go WAY above and beyond, even though they may be quite frightened about what they are getting into:

"A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life: soldiers and nurses who were heroes in an unpopular war."

Somone you know will always be there for you. Someone who you think is the most wonderful person in the world!
