what if santa ws in the middle of a ladder then went up three steps then went down 5 and went up 10.it is

depends how many steps are on the ladder... there could not be enough steeps and he could already of been on the roof after going up 3 steps

From his original position, he went +3, -5 and +10, which means he is 8 rungs above the original position, whatever that was.

(If Santa lands on the rooftop, why does he need a ladder?) ;-)
