1/6 + what = 2 (1/4)
twice because average of two things is sum over two
1/6 + what = 2/4 = 3/6
what = 2/6 = 1/3
what fraction must be added to the difference of 5/6 and 2/3 to have an average of 1/4

1/6 + x = 3/4
x = 3/4 - 1/6 = 7/12
