what effect do you think religious pluralism and the interfaith movement will have on the future of organized religion?

My thoughts are what in the world is organized religion? If you mean mainline denominations, many of them are hardly organized.
The last figures I saw was that protestant evangelical denominations were loosing followers by leaps and bounds, mainly due to the dogma of anti-science, anti-social concern, and anti-enviroment issues. Non affiliated churches were loosing followers, but not at the large clip.
I believe that the interfaith folks will put competitive pressure on the mainline denominations to forget this conservative, right-wing lunacy which detracts from the message they are supposed to be proclaiming. In the end, the mainline denominations will change or suffocate in political and social lunacy.
