In my opinion, Wall Street represents the heart of the financial world, where big business deals, investments, and trading take place. It is known for its fast-paced, competitive environment and high-pressure atmosphere.
Bartleby would not fit in on Wall Street because he is a character who is passive, disengaged, and uninterested in the cutthroat nature of the financial industry. He prefers to remain in the background, avoiding confrontation and conflict, which are essential traits for success in a place like Wall Street. Bartleby's apathetic and indifferent attitude would not be conducive to the aggressive and competitive culture of Wall Street.
What does Wall Street represent, in your opinion? Why would Bartleby not fit in here?
