I have no idea. This is a chemistry question, and it's not an area I know much about.
it is a generic word equation for the reaction of a metal with water to produce a metal hydroxide and hydrogen.
For example a Group 1 element
2Na + 2H2O = 2NaOH + H2
For example a Group 2 element
Ca + 2H2O = Ca(OH)2 + H2
For example a Group 1 element
2Na + 2H2O = 2NaOH + H2
For example a Group 2 element
Ca + 2H2O = Ca(OH)2 + H2
