Perspective can be the point of view or attitude exhibited in the sentence.
perspective, as I learned it in engineering, is from what view one looks. In a blueprint: Frontal perspective, side perspective, or a 3D perspective showing relative heights.

Perspective in a sentence means viewpoint, specifically whose.

Take the sentence...
" I think between liberals and conservatives, the only ones showing compassion for the poor and needy are the liberals"

OK, whose perspective is this? Mine.

The sentence....
If we could vote now, instead of waiting until we were 18, the country would be in better shape.
Whose perspective? Obviously, someone less than 18.
