Siddhartha Gautama, also known as the Buddha, wanted to achieve enlightenment and liberation from suffering. He sought to understand the cause of suffering (dukkha) and find a way to overcome it. He aimed to discover the truth of existence, known as the Four Noble Truths, and attain a state of ultimate peace and freedom called Nirvana. Additionally, he desired to share his teachings (Dharma) with others, establishing a path (the Eightfold Path) to assist them in attaining enlightenment and liberation as well.
