What can I say to my classmate who posted this:

Sometimes I find it hard to start studying or working on my math assignments during the week. Usually, when I feel like it’s over a topic, I find it complicated and hard to understand. I motivate myself to do work by telling myself that if I do the work now, I will not have to do it later in the week. Most of the time, I don’t feel like starting whatever I need to do, but once I get going with the assignment, it isn’t as bad as I imagined. I think I really must be motivated to get a math assignment completed. If I’m not motivated, it usually doesn’t get completed. However, I try to complete assignments when I’m motivated so I can get as much done as possible.

You could respond with something supportive and encouraging. Here’s an example:

"Hey [Classmate's Name], I totally relate to what you're saying! It can be so tough to get started on math assignments, especially when the material feels complicated. It sounds like you have a good strategy with motivating yourself to tackle the work early in the week. Once you dive in, it really can be easier than it seems! Maybe we can study together sometime? It might help keep us both motivated. Keep up the great work, and remember, you're not alone in this!"
