What are the vertices of the hyperbola x^2/9 - y^2/4=1

I'm not sure of how to start or what equation to use.
Show steps please.

just set y=0. x = ±3

So, the vertices are at (±3,0)

You know that it has to be y=0, because if x=0, -y^2/4 = 1, meaning y^2 has to be negative.
Thank you so much...
