What are the reasons why boys should not help at the kitchen?

a) it is a woman's job
b) boys are distracted easily and might hurt themselves
c) boys have better things to do
d) they can't understand the importance of cleanliness
e) They never wash their hands
f) we don't want to have them around girls
g) They don't think ahead
h) they might become effeminate

Enough of this nonsense? We have many prejudices on gender, nearly all of it based on nonsense such as the above, that we learned from our parents.

In the US? Hmmm. All the "boys" I know and have known can certainly take care of themselves in a kitchen! They cook, create, clean up, etc. And this is not just recent! Most of them have grown into self-sufficient men!!
