The Knights of Labor worked hard to improve the lives of workers in the late 1800s by fighting for better pay and working conditions. They wanted to make sure that all workers were treated with respect and had good jobs. However, they faced many challenges, like violence and people who didn't believe in unions, which made it hard to succeed completely. While they did make some progress, like helping to create an eight-hour workday, many workers still struggled to get the dignity they wanted.
