The question asks for the comparison of the populations PER SQUARE MILE. The figures you quoted were for the total populations of these continents.
Asia's population per square mile is about 6 times North America's population per square mile. This site has the exact figures.

We are learning to read charts and graphs this week in Math. I was asked this question:
Compare the population per square mile in Asia to the population per square mile
in North America for the year 2000.
The population in Asia in 2000 was 4,028,000,000 and the population in North America was 305,000,000.
I am not sure what answer the question is looking for. How do you compare them?
