Using what you know about conductors and insulators, explain why common electrical wire is constructed with a long threaded wire of copper surrounding by a plastic casing?
What I think: Because the wires conduct electricity it could shock you. so putting the plastic around it insulates the electricity. am I right o.0?

Copper is a good insulator, so the electricity can flow easily. The plastic is an insulator, so the electricity will not flow through it, therefore we can hold the wire.
