Using each of the shapes in the box, draw a shape that is worth $6.95. Triangle: $.30 (cents) square: $1.25 rectangle: $1.00
I don't understand. Do they want a pattern of shapes? How would I draw a shape that has more than one of the shapes, triangle, square, and rectangle together???

I don't understand either. If you merely wanted to sum the values, I don't see how they can total $6.95. The problem is the $.95. How can you combine the 1.25 and .30 to get something ending in .95? The 1.00 ones will just fill in to get it up to 6.
.30 + .30 + .25 = .85
.30 + .25 + .25 + .25 = 1.05
Are you sure you don't have a typo in your numbers?
Once you find out how many of each shape you need, you probably can combine them any way you want.
I hope this helps. Thanks for asking.

It must be an elementary question because I too have the same question on my homework. I was thinking the shape they are looking for is a trapezoid but still having problems getting to the .95 out of .30, 1.25 and 1.00
