I know how to do long division it's just this problem I'm stuck on.
(-x^2-94x+600)/(x+100)
= -(x^2 + 94x - 600)/(x+100)
= -(x+100)(x - 6)/(x+100)

yup, the divisor is a factor of the dividend.

You claim that you know how to do long division.
Then your result should have yielded the same conclusion. Mine did.
