t₂ = 500/8 = 62.5 s
Δt=t₁-t₂=63.5 – 62.5 =1 s.
First runner's time =
T1 = 125/9 + 125/7 = 31.75 seconds

Second runner's time =
T2 = 250 m/8 m/s = 31.25 s

T2 - T1 = 0.50 seconds
