Two acids have the following pKa values:3.85 and 5.65. what are the corresponding Ka values?

2 answers

pKa and pKb are analogous to pH and pOH.
pKa = -log Ka.
Plug in the negative value of Ka on your calculator and hit the 10x button.
For pKa of 3.85 you should find 1.41 x 10^-4.
thanks again
