"To prove the Pyathagorean Theorum using the picture above, first we need to rearrange the triangles so that they form two rectangles, a^2 and b^2. Because we did that, now we also have two separate squares. Notice that no matter how we arranged the triangles, the negative space still has the same area. Since the two squares are apart from eachother, we need to add them to equal the area of the big square that we had originally.
