after reading again I think the answer is d.
Goodness! Does your book say that you shouldn't praise him?
Most Downs syndrome children do not have significant mobility problems, so I see no reason to move the trash can closer to him.

However, your book might emphasize being calm around children, so you shouldn't be hysterical about wanting everything pristinely clean.
