how
In genetics, dominant traits are expressed when at least one copy of the dominant allele is present. This means that if an individual has one dominant allele and one recessive allele for a particular trait, the dominant allele will be expressed in the phenotype. In contrast, recessive traits are only expressed when two copies of the recessive allele are present. If an individual has two dominant alleles or one dominant and one recessive allele, the dominant trait will be expressed.
