Today was the day of the event and everyone in the palace and kingdom was invited. I was wearing a beautiful white dress with white heals. I thought about wearing a necklace to the event but chose not to. As I was doing my hair and makeup the door creaked open and Taehyung walked inside.

He already had his outfit on, and... he kinda look... hot. Black really suited him. He glanced at me licking his lips in the process.

"You look stunning, as always," he remarked making his way towards me. "You don't look bad yourself, Taehyung," I say. He smirks, "Why thank you, princess," he says.

I felt a surge of annoyance at his casual demeanor. It was as if he didn't care about the forced relationship that we were both trapped in. I tried to focus on getting ready for the event, but his presence was a constant distraction.

As I put the finishing touches on my hair, Taehyung came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I stiffened at his touch, feeling the familiar surge of discomfort that always accompanied his space.

"Taehyung, what are you doing?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Just admiring the view,"he replied, resting his chin on my shoulder. "You know, we have to make a good impression today. The whole kingdom will be watching."

I resisted the urge to push him away, knowing that it would only escalate the situation. Instead, I freed myself from his grasp.

"I can handle myself just fine, Taehyung," I said, trying to get some control over the situation.

He chuckled, a low sound that sent shivers down my spine. "Of course you can, princess. But it doesn't hurt to have a prince by your side," he said, his voice dripping with arrogance.

I rolled my eyes before focusing on the task at hand and made my way to the event hall, with Taehyung following close behind.

The hall was filled with people, the air buzzing with excitement and anticipation. As we made our entrance, all eyes turned towards us, and I felt a pang of unease at being the center of attention once again.

Taehyung's hand found its way to the small of my back, guiding me through the crowd with possessive familiarity. I gritted my teeth, hating the way he acted as if he owned me.

I spotted my father and pulled Taehyung to him. The moment my father saw me, his eyes fluttered with excitement.

"Alexis! You look ... beautiful. You look just like your mother when she was younger," my father says and I let out a short smile.

"And Taehyung... You look as handsome as ever," my father stated and Taehyung smirks, "Why thank you, sir, but I believe your beloved daughter here looks more angelic than I," he responds.

A simple, plain smile played on my lips.

I observed as one of my guards walked towards my father,"Sir, they are requesting your presence," he says.

"Alright...." he shifted his gaze towards us, "I must be leaving now, Taehyung take care of my beautiful princess for me, please," father says.

"I will, sir," Taehyung responded, with a smile.

Father walked off and Taehyung and I pushed past our way to the crowd. I found a seat near the balcony and sat down while Taehyung went to go get us something to drink.

What felt like hours Taehyung had finally returned but 6 unfamiliar guys were with him.

I glared at them, "You said you was going to bring back something to drink not bring back 6 unfamiliar guys..." I said.

"When you said she was feisty... I didn't know you was for real," a blonde say to Taehyung.

I rolled my eyes, "Did you get the right drink that I wanted?" I asked.

"Yep, a sprite," Taehyung says. "You didn't put anything in it... right?" I asked, "Of course not..." Taehyung says. I chose to believe him and grabbed the sprite from out of his hand.

As I took a sip of it, I instantly spitted it out. "Where did you get this from..." I asked him, in disgust.

"Where the food was, why?" Taehyung asked.

"Because it taste like pee...." I say, wiping my tongue with a towel from the table.

"You're probably just overreacting," Taehyung says, taking the sprite from out of my hands and place it on his lips. He takes a sip and he too spitted it out.

Taehyung was about to say something but was cut off by my father. "Hello, ladies and gentlemen!" his voice echoed through the mic, "It has come to my attention that the sprite taste like piss to most of all guest, so for no more other complaints... I'll be shutting down the sprite area so it could be fix!" he announced.

So, it wasn't just us... good. I wondered to myself.

The night continued with different types of music. First, pop music, then K-pop, then J-pop. But, they mostly played K-pop songs more frequently and some of the songs I barely knew.

Taehyung chatted with his friends and I was just observing the other guests. I wasn't really paying attention because when I was staring at the other guest I didn't hear Taehyung calling my name until he began to finger me.

It had caught my attention, and I quickly pushed his hands away. He smirk before licking his lips.

"So, that caught your attention. Maybe I should do it more often when you're daydreaming," Taehyung remarked.

I rolled my eyes at his comment, feeling a mix of annoyance and discomfort at his touch. "Don't you have better things to do than bother me, Taehyung?" I retorted, crossing my arms in front of me.

Taehyung's smirk widened, clearly enjoying getting a rise out of me. "Oh, but bothering you is my favorite pastime, princess," he teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

I shot him a glare before turning my attention back to the event, trying to ignore his presence as much as possible. But Taehyung was persistent, constantly finding ways to invade my personal space and push my buttons.

As the night went on, I found myself growing more and more frustrated with Taehyung's antics. It was as if he took pleasure in making me uncomfortable and on edge, and I was beginning to reach my breaking point.

Just when I thought I couldn't take it anymore, Taehyung pulled me aside and led me to a secluded corner of the hall. I braced myself for his usual teasing remarks, but to my surprise, his expression softened.

"Princess, I know we may not see eye to eye most of the time, but I want you to know that I do care about your well-being," Taehyung said, his voice surprisingly sincere.

I blinked in disbelief, caught off guard by his unexpected confession. "What do you mean, Taehyung?" I asked, unsure of how to respond to his sudden change in demeanor.

Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair in a rare display of vulnerability. "I know I may come off as insufferable at times, but deep down, I do want what's best for you. We may be stuck in this forced relationship, but that doesn't mean we have to be enemies," he explained.

I took a moment to process his words, realizing that perhaps there was more to Taehyung than met the eye. Maybe, just maybe, there was a glimmer of goodness buried beneath his arrogant facade.

"Thank you, Taehyung," I said softly, feeling a sense of understanding and connection with him that I hadn't felt before. "I appreciate your honesty, and I'm willing to give this... partnership a chance."

Taehyung smiled, a genuine smile that reached his eyes for the first time. "I'm glad to hear that, princess. Maybe, just maybe, we can make this work after all," he replied, his tone hopeful.

And in that moment, as we stood in the quiet corner of the bustling hall, I realized that perhaps there was more to this forced relationship than meets the eye. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for us to find common ground and maybe even... dare I say it... friendship.

As the night drew to a close and the guests began to depart, Taehyung offered me his arm and we walked out of the event hall together, a sense of unity and understanding blossoming between us.

And as we stepped out into the cool night air, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, this forced relationship might turn into something beautiful after all.
