TiO2 + C + 2Cl2 > TiCl4 + CO2

If you begin with 1.25 moles of TiO2, what mass of Cl2 gas is needed?

i got 175g of Cl2

is my answer correct?

The molecular weight of Cl2 is 70.9 so,
mass of Cl2 =1.25moles x 2 x 70.9 g
=177 g
Everything is mols. If you start with grams, you convert to mols. Then everything stays in mols until you are ready to convert to the final unit.
Do you know how to convert mols TiO2 to mols Cl2? You do it with the equation and coefficients.
I think its fine
TiO2(s) + c(s) + 2cl2(g) - ticl4(s) + co2(g)
