Result: The data collected from the MuLaKiLa Project showed that the main challenges faced by farmers in Rutsiro and Ngororero Districts include unpredictable weather patterns, soil degradation, lack of access to modern agricultural techniques, and limited access to markets.
Conclusion: It is evident that climate change is having a significant impact on the agricultural sector in these districts, leading to decreased productivity and livelihood insecurity for farmers.
Recommendation: To address these challenges, it is recommended that the project focuses on implementing climate-smart agricultural practices, providing training and access to resources for farmers, and establishing market linkages to ensure sustainable livelihoods in the region. Additionally, efforts should be made to promote community resilience and adaptation to climate change through capacity-building initiatives and awareness campaigns.
