To indicate powers of a number online, use ^.
x cubed = x^3
x squared = x^2
The first formula can be better written as:
(x^3 + 7x^2 - 49)/(x + 5)
The potential answer would be written as:
(x^2 + 2x -10 + 1)/(x + 5)
Why are the -10 and +1 combined? If (x + 5) is still in the divisor, how did you divide?
If this is the true answer, I don't know how to get from one to the other either. Do you have any typos in these formulas? If so, please repost with corrected formulas.
I hope this helps. Thanks for asking.
This is a long division problem:
x cubed + 7x squared - 49 divided by x + 5
I know the answer is x squared + 2x - 10 + 1 over x + 5 but i don't know how to get that
